It’s easy but you should use it carefully and make sure the content is engaging for the user. Users are more likely to leave the conversation if it has a more automated effect. For this purpose, to keep your users more involved in the conversations you could follow a certain steps like:
- Acknowledge users’ response using ‘Ok’ or ‘Alright’
- Use Discourse markers: words like “so” “moving on” indicate that your response is based on your users’ response.
- Implicit question: this is to confirm the user’s input. Eg: We will get in touch with you at xyz@gmail.com
- Narrow focus question
